So Glen why the scarab beetle? What made you choose that symbol for your tattoo?
Honestly? It goes back to The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. There’s a scene near the end—Santiago reaches the pyramids and sees a scarab beetle in the sand. It’s not just some random bug. It’s a sign from the universe. A symbol of transformation and destiny. That part of the book stayed with me.
That’s deep. The scarab has a long history in Egypt rebirth, protection, eternity. But when a tattoo means something personal like that, it becomes powerful.
Exactly. For me, this wasn’t just about getting a scarab tattoo in Egypt it was about honoring a moment in my journey. The story, the message… it made sense to come here. It made sense to sit in your chair.
That’s why I do this. At Riders Studios, we’re not just doing tattoos we’re helping people mark turning points in their lives. You brought the story full circle, right here in Cairo.
So what made you fly out from Staten Island? You could’ve gone anywhere.
I did a search super unsure about who would do my tattoo and then I came across the Riders Studios website and learned your from Houston and then when I talked to you I felt the vibe was right and then I was sure this was the right place to go and Im glad im here doing this amazing tattoo.
Respect. That’s what we built here. Cairo and Amman we’re putting the Middle East on the tattoo map for real. But it’s not just for locals. It’s global.
It shows. Here, it’s connection. Art. Energy. The whole studio’s got that feeling like you’re a part of a journey.
You are. Every client becomes part of the journey. That’s Riders Studios. That’s why we’ve been holding it down for years.
I feel that. From New York to Cairo I came for the ink, but I’m leaving with a story.
